Varane joined the club in a deal worth up to £41m from Real Madrid this summer as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked to bolster his back line and find the perfect partner for club captain Harry Maguire.

The French World Cup winner finally made his long awaited debut for the club in the 1-0 win over Wolves last weekend and received lots of praise for his performance, as United kept a first clean sheet in 11 games with his presence in the side.
