Dundee United stars for refusing to make a drama out of the wage cut bombshell which struck Tannadice this week as they ended a difficult few days with a win against Ross County.
United opened talks with Mellon, his staff and the Tannadice playing pool over 20 per cent cuts this week with no end in sight to the covid crisis that has kept the gates locked on Scottish football grounds.Sporting director Tony Ashgar says those talks will resume in the coming days as they look to reach agreement “as soon as possible”.
And after Nicky Clark’s double secured a much-needed 2-1 win over County, Mellon paid tribute to his players for staying United amid the turmoil.
