Michelle Williams To Headline ‘Dying For Sex’ FX Series From Liz Meriwether & Leslye Headland Based On Podcast
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Michelle Williams is set to star in and produce Dying For Sex, a limited series for FX from writers Liz Meriwether (The Dropout) and Kim Rosenstock (Only Murders In the Building), director Leslye Headland (Acolyte) and 20th Television where Meriwether and Headland are under overall deals.
Based on the hit Wondery podcast, Dying For Sex is the story of a woman (Williams) diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer who leaves her husband of 15 years and begins to explore her sexuality.
She gets the courage and support to go on this adventure from her best friend, who stays by her side all the way to the very end.
Meriwether and Rosenstock serve as showrunners and executive produce with Headland, Meriwether’s longtime collaborator Katherine Pope, Nikki Boyer, host and co-creator of the Dying For Sex podcast, and Wondery Inc.
