Michelle Pfeiffer is recalling the reason why she passed on starring as Clarice Sterling in the iconic movie, The Silence of the Lambs.
The 62-year-old actress, who will next appear as Betty Ford in First Ladies and in the third Ant-Man film, shared that she thought the movie was “too evil”. “With Silence of the Lambs, I was trepidatious,” Michelle explained in her profile with The New Yorker. “There was such evil in that film.” She did reveal that there was a regret with not taking the role, but not what you might think. “The thing I most regret is missing the opportunity to do another film with Jonathan [Demme, director].
