Michelle Mone says she was ‘abusing’ herself as she opens up about previous weight struggles

metro.co.ukMichelle Mone has opened up about how being overweight caused her to feel depressed. The 48-year-old Ultimo founder – who has lost eight stone in recent years – also likened being overweight to self-abuse as she discussed the battles she went through when she was at an all-time low.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the lingerie tycoon said: ‘I was at my heaviest and had three children running around me and [I was] launching Ultimo around the world.
I was getting bigger and bigger. ‘I was abusing myself. I was on antidepressants from the doctor. It was awful.’ Michelle – who is now a size 10 after previously being a size 22 – said that it was her parents who finally inspired her to lose weight.
