Michelle Keegan has shared a heartfelt message with her fans, saying 'for the record' following the announcement about her TV future.
It's been confirmed that the actress will be bidding farewell as the hit Sky comedy show Brassic wraps up with an upcoming seventh season.The creators of the much-loved series have decided to bow out on a high note, stating they want to "stop while we are still riding high" and confirming that the series currently in production will be its last.
Starring Joseph 'Joe' Gilgun and Michelle Keegan, Brassic has charmed audiences with its portrayal of a group of skint working-class mates in the fictional village of Hawley.
Joe, famed for his roles in Preacher and Misfits, co-created the show alongside Shameless scribe Danny Brocklehurst. Danny Brocklehurst expressed his feelings about the show's conclusion: "When Joe Gilgun and I sat down to create Brassic, we couldn't have imagined, in our wildest dreams, that we would do seven series and gather such a loyal and loving fan base." He added: "It's been a complete joy to create this eccentric world, but all good things must come to an end, and we want to stop while we are still riding high.
