The comic actor and director (“Atypical,” “The War at Home”), who’s hosted a podcast called “I Am Rapaport” since 2015, blew up YouTube and Instagram recently with a series of hilariously profane quasi-public service announcements about COVID-19 safety.
The Post caught up with him — at home, of course. How did your coronavirus rants get started? I got asked to do a public-service announcement by a very prominent person who’s done a series of PSAs, and it was a very generic script.
I didn’t do it. If I was gonna do a PSA, it wouldn’t just be, “Hey, guys, we need you to do this … “This is beyond that, whether we want to accept it or not.
