Footballing legend Michael Owen has issued a warning to Gemma Owen ’s fellow Love Islanders, as he opened up about what a “horror” his daughter can be when her mind is firmly fixed on the prize.
The 19 year old stunner has definitely followed in her father’s footsteps when it comes to embracing a competitive streak, with the international dressage rider almost insufferable once she “has her game face on.” Fully embracing her competitive spirit, Gemma is a force to be reckoned with, with her doting dad admitting that people, including her fellow Love Islanders, need to “stay out of her way” once she sets her mind to something. "Match day or if it’s a big competition, going into that ring, she turns into a horror.
It’s like that’s it - you get your game face on and you can’t control it," he said. Admitting he was much the same, Michael added: "I didn’t want anyone talking to me on match day.
In fact, or the day before. Just stay out of my way and let me do my business." He then went on to reveal that Gemma is exactly the same, and has adopted the England player’s in-it-to-win-it mentality.
