Michael Owen's 18 year old daughter Gemma, has hit back at claims that she sponges off her dad's money.The teenager is thriving and recently launched her own bikini line, called OG Beachwear.

As she gave interviews and spoke to press about her exciting new venture, the Team GB dressage champion opened up on receiving nasty messages from trolls accusing her of using her 42 year old footballer dad's funds to set up the business.

Gemma insisted she is doing it "off my own back" as she continues to build on her career and goes from strength to strength as she grows her skills.

What's more, she's had plenty of comments from people claiming that the only reason she ever does well in her dressage is due to her famous father's influence and money.The model explained people will accuse her of having an "expensive horse" and "using daddy's money" for her swimwear brand. "It's constant but I want to make it clear to people that with the business side of things it hasn't been an open wallet," she told the MailOnline firmly.
