Michael Owen has admitted that some Liverpool fans will believe he ruined his legacy at the club by moving to Manchester United.
The Englishman joined Sir Alex Ferguson's side on a free transfer in 2009 after leaving Newcastle United. Owen grew up as a Liverpool fan and burst onto the scene with his boyhood club, winning the 2001 Ballon d'Or before moving to Real Madrid.
However, despite his allegiances to Liverpool, Owen admitted that some fans will still hold his move to Old Trafford at the end of his career against him.
