Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.

Michael Jackson’s alligators killed in Tiger King zoo fire

Two of Michael Jackson‘s pet alligators were killed in a fire at the zoo owned by Tiger King Joe Exotic, according to his former partner.

The flamboyant Oklahoma big cat owner, who is currently serving time behind bars, has become a big name thanks to the new Netflix docuseries Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness, which charts how he was arrested over a murder-for-hire plot.

And now his sidekick John Finlay has confirmed a 2015 Los Angeles Times story, which links the zoo to the late King of Pop. “One of the previous managers had gotten us Michael Jackson’s alligators from Neverland Ranch,” Finlay said during an appearance on comedian David Spade‘s late-night TV show Lights Out With David Spade.
