Michael Kirk Douglas (born September 25, 1944) is an American actor and producer. He has received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and the AFI Life Achievement Award.
The elder son of Kirk Douglas and Diana Dill, Douglas received his Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His early acting roles included film, stage, and television productions. Douglas first achieved prominence for his performance in the ABC police procedural television series The Streets of San Francisco, for which he received three consecutive Emmy Award nominations.

She was married to Kirk from 1943 until their divorce in 1951.In 2021, the “Ant-Man” actor paid tribute to his father on the first anniversary of his passing. “Can’t believe it’s been a year since you left us,” he captioned a photo on Instagram of the two men hugging. “At 103, you picked a good time to check out.
I love you with all my heart,” Douglas’ wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, commented at the time, “Love you Pappy.”At the time of Kirk’s death, Douglas released a heartfelt statement, saying: “To the world, he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of movies who lived well into his golden years, a humanitarian whose commitment to justice and the causes he believed in set a standard for all of us to aspire to.
But to me and my brothers Joel and Peter he was simply Dad.”Allegations that Kirk sexually assaulted actress Natalie Wood in 1955 when she was a teen came to light late last year.
