EXCLUSIVE: A week after Jay Sures’ home was vandalized by pro-Palestinian protesters, a plethora of Hollywood power players are today offering the UTA Vice-Chairman and UC Regent their support against the “hateful incident.” Spotlighting a “disturbing and reprehensible act of vandalism and intimidation carried out” on the agent’s Brentwood residence on February 5 by a masked group, the open letter from the Jewish Federation Los Angeles calls on university officials and civil leaders to “unequivocally condemn the protesters’ unlawful and antisemitic actions and reaffirm their commitment to protecting the safety and dignity of all individuals and groups, including the Jewish community.” Oscar winner Michael Douglas, Big Bang Theory alum Mayim Bialik, producer Greg Berlanti, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and WBTV boss Channing Dungey are among the around 500 signatures on the JFEDLA correspondence producers.
