Michael Carrick still laments missing out on a second Champions League crown at Man Utd, describing it as the 'one that got away'.
The former United midfielder won numerous major honours during his 12-year playing stint at Old Trafford, including lifting the European Cup in 2008.
Carrick was on the winning side when United triumphed over rivals Chelsea on penalties in the final in Russia. But United were not so lucky when reaching the final again in Rome a year later, going down 2-0 to Barcelona.
