Singer Michael Buble is encouraging fans to support the work of officials at the American Civil Liberties Union by offering to match up to $100,000 in donations.
The Home hitmaker has challenged his devotees to join him and “be part of the solution to help seek justice and equal rights” after he was left outraged by the May 25 death of George Floyd, an African-American man who lost his life after a white Minnesota police officer was caught on camera kneeling on his neck for more than eight minutes. “Along with the rest of the world, I watched in horror as a policeman literally took the breath out of George Floyd,” Buble shared in a statement. “This is not the kind of world I want my children to grow up in.
