MIichael Beale has taken a swipe at the negative narrative that surrounds his Rangers side as he accused doubters of writing off his team before a ball is kicked at Parkhead.The Ibrox side head to Celtic Park this lunchtime for a clash that has win-or-bust connotations for their faint Premiership title hopes.
It’s almost a year since the Light Blues last recorded a victory over Ange Postecoglou’s treble-chasers and the bookies have got Beale’s team down as the 7/2 outsiders to get a result today.But Beale is adamant his team are not the no-hopers some are making out.
Asked if he felt his team have been written off, the Londoner said: “Yeah, I do and it’s fine. It’s no problem. In this game, the home team is generally the favourites with the fans behind them and home advantage.
But that’s fine. It gives you a big opportunity. Celtic won’t be going on the pitch thinking they’re favourites, they’ll be going out to win three points towards their objective.“Our job is to make sure we get in the way of that and make sure we brings the points back.
