Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards has jokingly called out ex-Manchester United player Matteo Darmian for an incident in 2015.

Richards, who was playing for Aston Villa at the time, recalled when the Italian full-back caused havoc in the penalty area during United's win over the Midlands club at Villa Park during the 2015/16 season.

With the home side losing 1-0 after Adnan Januzaj put the Reds in front, Villa were desperately searching for an equaliser. Before making his way up for a corner, Richards was struck in the face.

United defender Darmian realised that he might be able to get one over on his opponent, and Richards recalled the incident when he and other guests where talking about the game's dark arts on BBC 5 Live.
