Mia Goth Joins Mahershala Ali in Upcoming Marvel Movie 'Blade'

On Wednesday (April 12), it was revealed that the 29-year-old Pearl and X actress will be starring opposite Mahershala Ali in the upcoming Marvel movie Blade, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Mahershala, 49, will be playing the titular half-human, half-vampire superhero, who hunts vampires to avenge his late mother. Yann Demange – who directed the HBO series Lovecraft Country – will be directing the upcoming movie from a script by Michael Starrbury.
The Blade revival news was revealed during the San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, and it was revealed that Mahershala pitched the entire idea to Marvel. Wesley Snipes first played the half-vampire superhero in a trio of movies, starting in 1998 and ending in 2004.
