Metrolink tram passengers face four days of disruption in Manchester city centre

Commuters and visitors to Manchester city centre will face disruption this week as urgent works take place. Two Metrolink stations will have fewer services than normal from tomorrow morning (January 16) until close of service on Friday, January 19.

It comes as tram services are being affected by a 'cracked rail' at Victoria, according to Transport for Greater Manchester.

The issue will affect city centre Metrolink passengers using the lines between Altrincham and Bury, and Manchester Airport and Victoria lines.

No services on either line will stop at Market Street or Shudehill. Instead, trams on both lines will run via Exchange Square. Try MEN Premium now for FREE...
