Although the festive season usually requires a sequin dress or two, this year one of the biggest fashion trends around is metallics, which are perfect for adding a slightly more understated shimmer to your party ‘fit.
We’re firmly of the opinion that if it’s good enough for our outfits then it's good enough for our makeup, and we’re predicting that metallic makeup is going to be one of this winter’s go-to beauty trends for a more laid-back touch of seasonal sparkle.
Metallic makeup first took off earlier this year, and although we may have ditched it in favour of a more natural, glossy look over the summer, now winter is approaching it’s back with a bang.The more grown up, low-key sister to the classic glitter and gloss looks that usually dominate our seasonal makeup looks, metallic makeup is all about muted shine and jewel-toned hues with plenty of silver and gold making an appearance.
