A Metropolitan Police officer has been convicted after attempting to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex while on duty. Detective Constable Francois Olwage has today (April 14) been found guilty at Winchester Crown Court of three child sex offences.

Olwage was unaware that he had in fact been speaking to an undercover police officer who had been calling themselves ‘Smile Bear’ and ‘Caitlin’.
