The UK might get snow over Christmas, according to the Met Office's long-range weather forecast which now reaches Christmas Day.

Today the Met Office updated its long-range weather forecast, which predicts the weather conditions for a month, so we can now see what the weather conditions will be like leading up to Christmas.

The forecast, which covers the time period from December 11 to December 25, says that conditions will get less settled the further we get into the month, with wet, windy and snowy spells being predicted. However, towards mid-December, there are signs that it will become less settled with west or north-westerly types preferred. "These will bring some wetter and windier spells with a risk of some snow, especially for hills in the north.
