A balmy spring is set to continue this weekend in Greater Manchester with temperatures higher than in parts of Spain in some areas.

The Met Office has forecasted more bright sunshine and blue skies with highs of 15C in Manchester on Saturday, compared to 12C in the Spanish capital of Madrid.

On Sunday, the mercury is set to rise to 15C again here, while Madrid will see similar temperatures. The warm weather follows a glorious Bank Holiday in Britain, where conditions remained throughout the past week.

In Manchester, forecasters predict a cloudier start to Saturday morning (April 23), but bright sunshine will come through later in the afternoon, particularly from 4pm until 8pm.
