Police have descended onto a Glasgow hospital after a member of staff was reportedly stabbed this morning.Officers were called to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary on the city's Castle Street at 10.30am .
On arrival, a 23-year-old woman was found injured. Her injuries are not believed to be serious. Officers investigating the incident confirmed a 69-year-old man has been detained.
There is no wider threat to the hospital. A probe has since been launched into the incident, with bosses from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde assisting police with their inquiries.
A spokesperson said: "We can confirm that police were called following an incident at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and we are co-operating fully with their investigations.
