Melanie Clark Pullen, who played Pauline Fowler's niece in EastEnders, has died at the age of 46 following a battle with cancer.

According to The Sun, the actor was diagnosed with cancer in January 2019 and passed a way on 29 March this year following several rounds of radiotherapy.

The star is survived by her husband Simon and their three children together. Melanie found a lump on her breast in 2018 and after undergoing a series of tests at Ulster Hospital she was given the news that she had breast cancer.

While going through chemotherapy, she was tested for and found to be a carrier of the BRCA 2 mutant gene, which increases the chances of breast and ovarian cancer.
