Meghan Markle is thought to have threatened Prince Harry with a break up if the Duke of Sussex didn’t make their relationship public.
The pair first started dating in 2016, to marry just two years later. Meghan, 41, and Harry, 38, have since welcomed two children together: Archie, three, and one year old daughter Lilbet.
A source said that Harry was wanting to keep Suits actress Meghan out of the public eye in a bid to “protect her” early on in their romance, but she wanted everyone to know their relationship was the real deal. The new revelations comes as part of a new book titled Courtiers: the Hidden Power Behind the Crown by Valentine Low, which is set for release next month.
The book reads, as per Daily Star: "Faced with hordes of journalists intent on trawling through every aspect of Meghan’s life, Harry became determined to protect his girlfriend. "Meghan, meanwhile, told him that if he did not do something about it, she would break off the relationship. "A source said: 'She was saying, “If you don’t put out a statement confirming I’m your girlfriend, I’m going to break up with you.'' Harry was in a panic.” Harry is then thought to have contacted Buckingham Palace communications secretary Jason Knauf to issue a statement confirming their romance.Read more on ok.co.uk
