Meghan Markle's decision to use her royal title in her DIY company has sparked controversy, with a PR expert issuing a brutal one-word statement over it.The Duchess of Sussex unveiled her latest project on Thursday with the launch of her fresh website and Instagram account for American Riviera Orchard - believed to be centred around lifestyle and food. The new brand's logo was shared on Instagram along with the letters A and R, a short bio reading "by Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex", and a link to their website where you can sign up for updates. This new project comes after Prince Harry and Meghan were criticised for launching their new website - Sussex.com - as it appears to skate close to the edge of the promise they made to Queen Elizabeth II to not capitalise on their royal titles.

This move to launch her new lifestyle brand didn't escape criticism though, as PR professional Renae Smith weighs in on Meghan's choice to feature her Royal title on this personal endeavour.

Renae, founder of The Atticism, branded Meghan's branding actions "silly" especially as she had left her life as a full-time royal behind, reports the Express.

Express.co.uk reported her saying: "This move is not without its controversies, especially concerning the use of her royal title in branding efforts." She added: "I think this was a silly move from her - and it raises pertinent questions about the balance between leveraging one's unique position and the responsibilities that come with it." "If she doesn't want the work that comes with the title, as her PR manager, I would have advised her to not use it for a personal brand that has nothing to do with public service. ".
