It was one to remember when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle first went on a date. The would-be couple got off to a rocky start from the offset after Harry got stuck in heavy traffic and ended up being late.But the pair were under no illusions that this was a run of the mill get together, they both knew something special was brewing from the minute they started chatting and ordered their drinks.
They’d struck up a mutual interest after messaging on Instagram but they didn’t have long to plan a meet up in real life.Meghan was still starring on Suits, which was filmed in Canada, but had popped over to the UK for a brief visit to take in the tennis at Wimbledon.
They soon picked a date though and set about planning the venue. Harry suggested the actress should visit him at Kensington Palace to try and avoid anyone spotting them, and as a security precaution.
But, as Harry revealed in his memoir Spare, Meghan then questioned if he thought she’d go to his house on a first date, before she messaged: "I don't think so".
