"I do think those comments aimed at Kate were extremely damaging to the brothers' friendship. Then we have this book coming out and who knows what will be in it." At the time, there were reports which had circulated ahead of the Sussexes' wedding that Meghan left Kate in tears at Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid dress fitting - but Meghan told Oprah that "the reverse" happened instead.

Meghan said she was not trying to be "disparaging" to Kate, describing her as a "good person", but believed it was "really important for people to understand the truth." The Duchess of Sussex then said Kate later apologised and brought her flowers, and that she has forgiven her.
