Meghan Markle's first Archetypes podcast was finally released on Tuesday and it certainly packed a punch, with the Duchess revealing some previously unknown anecdotes and sharing her thoughts on what it is to be an ambitious woman. The podcast has received mixed reactions, with one person in particular praising Meghan for an "articulate and insightful episode", whereas others have regarded some of her revelations as a swipe at the royal family.

In one instance, Meghan, 41, spoke to her guest, tennis ace Serena Williams, about double standards women face when labelled 'ambitious', saying that she "doesn't ever remember personally feeling the negative connotation behind the word ambitious, until I started dating my now husband (Prince Harry)".

She continued: "And apparently ambition is a terrible, terrible thing. For a woman that is, according to some. "So since I felt the negativity behind it, It's really hard to unfeel it.

I can't unsee it either in the millions of girls and women who make themselves smaller, so much smaller on a regular basis." Her comments have left a bitter taste in the mouth of some, who have labelled them "a smack in the face for Harry and a punch towards the Royal Family".
