Meghan Markle has been accused of faking interviews for her Archetypes podcast which was axed from Spotify after just one season. The podcast ran for 12 episodes from August 2022, and it saw Meghan chatting to celebrities, historians and experts about the history of stereotypes levelled against women. The podcast-focused outlet Podnews reported that multiple sources said that Meghan had various staff members conduct interviews with the guests, and then the royal's own voice would be edited into it.

Without referencing specific episodes or sections of the Archetypes podcast, the outlet reported that: “some interviews on the show were done by other staffers, with [audio of 41-year-old Meghan's] questions edited-in afterwards”.

While Meghan’s podcast Archetypes featured many high-profile guests throughout its 12 episodes, including Mindy Kaling, Serena Williams, and Mariah Carey, this is not the first time that questions have been raised regarding Meghan’s own input into the audio show.

New York journalist Alison Yarrow was featured as a guest last year and shortly after her interview she revealed that she didn’t actually speak to Meghan herself, but rather an audio producer called Farrah Safarfi.
