With Donald Trump set to be inaugurated as the 47th president of America, things could be about to go from bad to worse for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The couple - who stayed noticeably quiet in the run-up to this year’s election - might understandably have fears about their future in the US, especially as Trump has said on the record that he’d consider deporting Prince Harry because of his visa drama.
And with no obvious signs of them being welcomed back into the fold with their family in the UK, a source tells OK! that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are feeling torn about not only what to do but where to live. “They feel very torn about what to do next, they honestly thought Kamala Harris would get in and they would be friends with the President - this is a hellish situation for them,” they claimed. "Harry's worried about deportation happening, he's worried about leaving." They added: “They’re both feeling very unsettled right now, what with everything going on in America, plus all the pressure on them to do well with their projects. They have to perform in 2025 as companies like Netflix won't stand for anything that isn't a huge hit because of all the money they've paid them.” On top of their charity work with their Archewell Foundation and taking care of their kids - Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three - the couple are also set to appear in a number of new documentaries, including one on the professional polo scene with Harry, 40, and a cookery show with Meghan, 42.
But given that Harry’s visa drama is still rumbling on - and could escalate with Trump holding the reins - there’s more at stake than just their TV careers.
