John Christopher Depp II (born June 9, 1963) is an American actor, singer, producer, and musician. He has been nominated for ten Golden Globe Awards, winning one for Best Actor for his performance of the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008), and has been nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Actor, among other accolades. He is regarded as one of the world's biggest film stars. Depp made his film debut in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, before rising to prominence as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). He had a supporting role in Oliver Stone's 1986 war film Platoon and played the title character in the 1990 romantic fantasy Edward Scissorhands.

Megan Davis is speaking out about her role as Amber Heard in Tubi’s movie, Hot Take, about the trial between Amber and her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

In a new interview with People, Megan opened up about why she said yes to the role and what she and co-star Mark Hapka did to prepare themselves before filming. Click inside to read more… Megan revealed that she went into filming without any preconceptions, and didn’t watch the trial, or any of Amber‘s films. “I had not seen anything she had done,” she said on People’s Every Day podcast. “I hadn’t seen All the Boys Love Mandy Lane.

I hadn’t seen Aquaman, and I actually had not watched the trial either.” Megan did add that once she had caught up on the background, she had to prepare differently for the trial scenes than she did for the reenactments of some of the former couple’s more fraught personal moments. “There’s difficulties with both, right?” she says. “Because [with] the trial, you have the real footage, so you have to nail it, and you hope to nail it.

Whereas with the reenactments, you don’t have the footage so you hope to get their energy right and who they are as people, right?” Additionally, Megan says she and Mark also requested of the director that the film not “choose a side,” but rather do “everything it can to portray the truth.” “That’s true of any film or any piece of art in general.
