Bury town centre is not the most likely place to stumble across a Banksy mural. But several designs in the style of the legendary street artist have been spotted in the town over the last 12 months.
Adorning the walls of subways and the sides of buildings, the pieces have got people talking. A well-known Banksy stencil even appeared on an old blue door outside Bury FC's Gigg Lane ground as the Shakers were on the brink of being thrown out of the Football League last August.
Depicting a girl holding an umbrella, the artwork sparked curiosity about whether Banksy had paid a visit to the town. The door was removed and replaced - just in case.
