TV’s biggest globetrotting adventure is back with 10 brand new contestants taking on the once-in-a-lifetime challenge. In pairs, the Race Across the World competitors are tasked with navigating their way through East Asia with limited resources, no credit cards and no phones.

Brydie, 25, chose to go into the competition with her mother, Sharon, 52. “I’ve always wanted to travel with Mum, so I said, ‘Let’s do it together,’” shares Brydie. “If Mum told me to jump, I’d say, ‘Let’s go.’” “I saw the last series of the show and I thought, ‘I could do that,’” says Sharon. “Brydie’s the only person I would have chosen.
