Meat Loaf dies aged 74 as tributes pour in for legendary singer

Meat Loaf has died aged 74, a statement on his official Facebook page said. The US singer, whose hits included Bat Out of Hell, passed away on Thursday night with his family by his side.

The news was confirmed by his longtime agent, Micheal Greene, on Friday. A statement posted to Facebook read: "Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side.
