McFly's Tom Fletcher rushed to hospital after painful health condition flare-up

McFly's Tom Fletcher has revealed that he was unexpectedly rushed to hospital earlier this week.The 39 year old suffers from a rare eye condition called uveitis, which causes inflammation inside part of the eye.

And Tom revealed that he suffered a flare-up of the condition on Instagram on Monday, as he shared a picture of his painful-looking eye.

He said: "My autoimmune thing flared up out of nowhere last night (Sunday). Woke up feeling (and looking) like I'd been smashed in the face!

This is after it had calmed down and I could see again." He added: "Not the day I had planned" and "Uveitis sucks!" Tom also shared that he went to the A&E department of The Western Eye Hospital in central London to get treated and would be on medication for the next six weeks. "Hate having to come here but so thankful it exists!
