McDonald’s to limit new Pokemon Happy Meal toys over eBay resale price hike fears

McDonald’s is adding Pokemon toys to its Happy Meals from next month, and the food chain is expecting them to be a huge hit with both kids and adults.

The fast food chain hasn't yet revealed what the toy will be in the Happy Meal, and it is said that there will be a limit on how many customers will receive the toy over fears of them being resold on eBay for hundreds of pounds.

The new toy addition comes after the huge demand in the US for collectible Pokemon trading cards which were added to Happy Meals back in February for a limited time only.

Since being added to the meals, the 25th anniversary special edition McDonald's booster pack of Pokemon cards were spotted being sold on eBay for hundreds of dollars, games website Polygon
