In 2011, McDonalds was forced to apologise to 16-year-old Scott Wilson after it refused to serve him a cheeseburger. The fast food chain had banned hoodies and tracksuits in a bid to improve the clientele at its Leyland branch.
But after turning Mr Wilson away, the teenager returned in a suit and tie and was promptly given the burger and sprite he had wanted all along.
