Maya Jama and fiancé Ben Simmons quash split rumours with loved-up snap

Maya Jama and her fiancé Ben Simmons have put to bed rumours of a split - with a new loved up snap. On Sunday a source claimed the pair's relationship had hit the rocks after Maya, 27, decided she wanted to focus on her career.

However, clearly ready to put speculation to one side, Ben, 26, showed they were still very much loved up with a cute black and white throwback snap of the pair looking smitten.

He captioned the snap: '@mayajama almost a year older' followed by a laughing and heart emoji. Maya also seemingly addressed the rumours, and posted a tweet that read: "Stop believing sources in papers plz." The reports in The Sun claimed the couple, who enjoy a long distance relationship with Maya having to shuttle back and forth to America, where her beau plays basketball for the Brooklyn Nets, called things off in July.

A source said: "Maya called it off engagement after things came to head last month. "She is not going back to New York now, it's heartbreaking for both of them, especially as they were so committed to each other. "They're both young and want to focus on their careers.
