The wait for Max‘s European launch is nearly over. The Warner Bros Discovery streaming service will launch in the Nordics, Iberia, and Central and Eastern Europe — where HBO Max is already available — on May 21, with launches in Poland, the Netherlands, France, and Belgium following closely after.
House of the Dragon season 2 will debut in Europe on June 17. This means the streamer will be available in 25 countries in Europe and 65 overall, having first launched in the U.S.
in May last year. Pricing wasn’t revealed. HBO Max, which Max replaced in the U.S., is currently offers in some European territories but is being phased out.
The launches in France and Belgium mark the first new territory launches for WBD in two years. In Belgium and the Netherlands, the service will be known as HBO Max.
