The 1975’s Matty Healy has opened up about his childhood with actor parents, Denise Welch and Tim Healy, and how he developed a fear that their love was an acting performance after watching the film The Truman Show.
Matty, born in 1989, comes from an artistic family. His mother's father, Vin Welch, achieved success as a talented drag queen, while both of his parents, Denise Welch and Tim Healy, pursued careers in acting.
Matty's parents gained recognition as working-class heroes through their television work, and this fame often resulted in encounters with fans on the street.
As a young child, Matty described how he grew accustomed to patiently holding his parents' hands as they navigated these fan interactions.
