Matthew Perry's ex-girlfriend and former assistant has opened up about how his split with Rachel Dunn plunged him back into addiction.
Chatting exclusively to The Mirror US, Kayti Edwards divulged that Matthew's breakup with Rachel, whom he was together with from 2003 to 2005, was a "big, big regret for him", and he once referred to her as "the ex-girlfriend of his dreams." Though their romance was brief, lasting just two years, Matthew included her as a beneficiary in her will. "He loved her so much...she was his one and only girl.
I don't know what happened and why they broke up, but I know that he was the happiest with her," Kayti said. "Afterwards, he lived with a lot of regret.Their love was very simple....and she loved him before he was huge and he just spiralled afterwards." During her new interview, she shared his regret over some of his life choices. "I think that he regrets not marrying her....I know that he wanted kids, and I think that he struggled with time flying by.
