On Saturday afternoon (October 28), the beloved Friends actor was found unresponsive at his home in Los Angeles, aged just 54.
It's believed he may have had a heart attack. Matthew had returned home after playing a game of Pickleball when he sent his assistant on an errand, who then returned two hours later and found the actor unresponsive in his hot tub.
An initial post-mortem examination was put on hold while toxicology tests are carried out.The police said they didn't find any illegal drugs at his home, but there were prescription medications present.
