The investigation into the death of Friends star Matthew Perry has been closed by Los Angeles police, following the coroner's ruling that it was an 'accidental' death.The actor, best known for his role as Chandler Bing, was found lifeless in his hot tub at his LA home on 28 October 2023.
Despite no signs of foul play or drug paraphernalia at the scene, the coroner later determined that he died from the severe effects of ketamine.
Other factors contributing to his death included drowning, heart disease, and the impact of the prescription drug buprenorphine, used for treating opioid addiction.
The LAPD confirmed to People magazine that the case is now closed, with records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner also sealed.
