Matthew McConaughey wanted to be a father when he was eight years old because he thought 'That's when you've made it.'The 51-year-old actor revealed how his father's lessons inspired him to aim for fatherhood at an early age whileappearing on Tim McGraw's radio show Beyond The Influence Radio with Tim McGraw.Explaining how is own father always made him address people as 'sir' or 'ma'am' when he was growing up, and as a child, Matthew thought the reason he had to use respectful terms when addressing adults was because they were parents.'For me, [becoming a father] was the motivation to continue, but hopefully be able to maybe evolve and improve it,' he said.
