Matthew McConaughey dreamt of fatherhood ever since childhood as he thought becoming a dad meant "you've made it". The 51-year-old actor looked back at his younger days in a new interview with country music star, Tim McGraw.
Opening up about growing up in Texas, Matthew revealed he had to call his father "sir" and his mother "mam" and it struck him that being a parent is the "greatest success" you can have in life.
The Hollywood star was aged just eight when he realised he wanted to have kids of his own. During his appearance on Beyond The Influence Radio with Tim McGraw, he explained that as a young boy, he understood that fatherhood was "when you’ve made it".
