Clubs elsewhere are taking note, with his Champions League displays catching the eye. The likes of Aston Villa and West ham have had O'Riley watched as he looks set to be the next big money departure from Parkhead.Now Sky Sports claim that Serie A giants Inter are keen on the Denmark international.
However, Inter would want to loan him until the end of the season before ponying up to take him permanently - a move that's unlikely to fly in the Celtic boardroom.
With Rodgers needing strikers and January a difficult window in which to do meaningful business, losing O'Riley without a significant fee being banked immediately would appear to be a non starter.It would also leave the Hoops scrambling to source a replacement.
