‘Matilda’ Musical Film Adaptation Set for U.K. Theatrical Run in 2022

and Tristar Pictures in the U.K. and Ireland for an exclusive theatrical run on December 2, 2022. For the rest of the world, the film will head to Netflix in December.The adaptation stars Alisha Weir as Matilda, along with Emma Thompson as Miss Trunchbull, Lashana Lynch as Miss Honey, Stephen Graham and Andrea Riseborough as Matilda’s parents Mr.
and Mrs. Wormwood, and Sindhu Vee as librarian Mrs. Phelps.Matthew Warchus, who directed both the West End and Broadway productions of the show, will direct the film, which is being produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner.
