Matalan has infuriated some parents after it quietly brought in a 10p charge across all of its stores. After noticing the charge, some customers have taken to social media to call out Matalan, and they're not best pleased.

Matalan is now charging anybody who wants to keep their coat hanger 10p. Plastic hangers had previously been free for anybody who wanted to keep them.

The charge has been brought in by Matalan bosses in a bid to reduce plastic waste by encouraging clothes buyers to re-use their hangers.

But the new policy has left some customers less than impressed - with parents appearing the most enraged by the introduction of the 10p charge.
